Abstract

The French presidential elections take place on the 10th and
24th of April, 2022. While the neoliberal banker Emmanuel
Macron is expected to win a second term, his two closest
contenders in the polls, Marine Le Pen and Éric Zemmour, are
both fascists who represent a huge danger for democracy and the
working class. Catherine argues that the French Left needs to
overcome its divisions and act now to stop them.
