Abstract

At the time of writing this article, tensions surrounding the Korean peninsula show little sign of subsiding. Koreans are coming to terms with the possibility that their country has now become the world’s most likely site of a nuclear war - in a region, moreover, that has emerged as the centre of global capitalism.
